What to do?

Paul, I'd bow out of this one while the going's good. Look at my surname: Hubbard. Do you think I can lay claim to that?

I want to say hello to my mum on the internet, but someone has registered the domain. What should I do? The person who did register it isn't saying hello to their mum on it, they are just advertising sex toys and things. Isn't this an abusive registration? i want to get it so that I can say hello to my mum. Hopefully I want to get it before anyone else wants to say hello to their mum, and tough luck to them, I say, as they'll never get it off me.

Hes probably going to use it for a website based on London Elephants and Hippos Yall

What checkmate i wasnt going buy both you can only drive one car

Well you could put the other on retention. DVLASOM indicates that L3AHY is taken currently so either ;
- it was taken at the time so you went with L9AHY
- it was free at the time, but cost more as its a lower option so you chose not to buy it

Why not apply the same logic to domains?

after google has pushed this leahy post to the top why cant i drs them as rob has pointed out surely they have to show proof otherwise what is an abusive domain

Er, did I !?

I was pointing out that you are throwing accusations about without basis and do not have any insight further than the whois details. The rest is guesswork by you.

*You* have to prove that its abusive , which I think you would struggle to do.

Go buy Leahy.tel, the online equivlent of owning L9 AHY ;)

mxyzptlk and klptzyxm are two rubbish domains -Mxyztplk is just as bad.

Obscure names you can register - try hard. Names with a history - try harder.

I have a trademark name - it is a confection of two factors, easy to spell in England once spoken, and before I registered it I checked that there was no-one in UK registered to vote with the name.

Yea, check that out, said my wife - I just Googled it. So I did, and found a man with the same name. Well, I have the .com, .net, .co.uk and the right to say cease and desist if he gets stroppy.

Wait for Mr Tinpanoik to rear his ugly head ...

Stump up the cash and pay for it, like the rest of us.

- Rob
