bottomline is estibot, domtastic or any automated system are never going to give a 'perfect valuation' - but lets remember that no human can give perfect valuation either... its all subjective. :roll:
If you asked 10 people on acorn before phones was sold I bet you they woul d have all come out with different valuations ranging from 10k to 500k..
so one good thing about half decent auto appraisal tool for a newb domainer is that it may help you realise that phonez _co.uk is worth a lot less that phones_co.uk etc

I did - Phones.co.uk it thinks is worth £20,000
Domain name alone sold for £50k and £175k inside last 9 months.
If the name was listed on here for £20,000 it would be sold before the seller even hit the 'post' button
I am not saying the makers of Estibot are fools, but I think anyone who bases buying and selling names on it are.
