Hi,

I'd appreciate your thoughts on WebScape.co.uk. I think it would make a great name for a web design/development company but wondered if you guys thought the same :)

Thanks,

Craig

I think it's a very brandable domain mate but I think it's hard to place a value or a range on these type of domains. Brandable names truly are worth whatever someone is willing to buy/sell for. :)

If I was an end user and a new startup I would consider this domain and depending on budget would be happy to pay up to £1,500. But that's just my opinion someone else maybe willing to pay £500, someone else maybe even £5000. Take a look at firstdibs.co.uk for example, most here wouldn't give more than £xxx for that domain yet it sold for £10,000!

That was the name of my first Internet Browser, Ah do miss those 14kb speed days. (be lucky if you got (1kb) in reality.

Nice name. One that needs putting out there to attract the entrepreneurial webdesigner/buiders/services

Thanks for the replies guys, I totally agree with you Dave with regards to pricing brandables, I would never have paid £10k for firstdibs.co.uk :-?

Thanks,

Craig

Are you not thinking of nutscrape as we affectionately called Netscape Navigator back in the day Bailey ? maybe Webscape was before my time hehe.

Won't the value in this be the backlink profile and authority which I assume could be quite good (not looked) which will compound the brandability.

I'd say mid-xxx quick sale, but hold fire and mid-x,xxx I'd say is possible.

Yea it was netscape Navigator, my mistake - those were the days eh

Still think Webscape makes for a far better Company name, though if it were mine, I'd probably be offering on here an be lucky to cadger 30 quid
