Well I bought this in May last year after reading a story about Jennifer Love Hewitt doing some 'Vajazzling'. I figured this kind of thing could only ever be popular in the States; until 'The Only Way is Essex' came along. With 50,000 exact monthly searches and a very brandable name, I'd be interested in what it might be worth.

If you weren't familiar with it already, here's the interview with Love Hewitt - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnUloWnKjg4

It's interesting how the top result for Googling Vajazzle is the .me.uk. Have you tried contacting the site owners of the .me.uk?

Not yet. Their website says Vajazzle is their trademark but I had a quick look around and found this:

Do you think it would be worth approaching them?

Sorry ds200, I do plan on holding onto it unless there are any offers way beyond what I was expecting for the domain.

I'm 99% sure that "vajazzle" is a generic name for a specific process or procedure... it would be like someone trying to trademark 'haircut' or 'tattoo'.

If you're planning to hold onto it, what do you see as the long term value of this domain?

I would think it was a fashion/fad that is now past it's peak.

This is definitely a potential issue. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I don't watch The Only Way is Essex and so I've been pretty ignorant about this whole thing!

However, from the little research I've done - it looks like 'Vajazzling' is just a term for sticking crystals to your skin and nothing too specific; which potentially gives the product some legs. This is also backed by the number of serious websites that have started up - ITV being the owners of vajazzle.me.uk.

So long term value might be quite thin, on the other hand it may also be pretty substantial.

@Darren my thoughts entirely - although in the States I'm pretty sure someone owns 'Vajazzle' as a trademark http://www.trademarkia.com/trademarks-search.aspx?tn=vajazzle (second result)

I have no experience with US trade marks, only UK, but the US trade mark application you link to is showing as 'abandoned'. I assume this is similar to the UK 'withdrawn' status, but you may want to check further.

The Vajazzle.me branding is terrible. They own the .me.uk not the .me, and having their logo everywhere like that at events (by the looks of things) would be a disaster for type-ins.

With regards to Vajazzle.co.uk, not a bad offer from Frank (domainseller200) up there which you may want to consider...

I must admit i was stunned to see literally everything and its mother registered. We talking right down to gb.net and lower.

I quite like to use 123-reg for domain searching. I can't remember the last time I've seen that many red-lights.

Looks like a nice speculative domain purchase to me

Vagazzle.me is available. Seems a popular alternative spelling.

There's almost certainly another Only Way is Essex airing which might boost interest again. I'll probably regret not shifting it and wasting a bit of time but at least researching the content will be a little more interesting than the norm.

It all comes down to whether or not it'll stick.

The term, or the vajazzle jewels... :D

Get a holding page with contact details put on it so the less tech-savvy can find you.

His were regged for totally different reasons though. He was hoping to trade those names in return for a cameo appearance on 'The Only Way Is Essex'

I can confirm this is 100% fact also - try typing the .co.uk into the address bar and see what happens :)

Haha, just tried too!

Barry have you had many Facebook adds from fans of Mark Wright thinking that he's changed his name by deed poll? :D
