Uniregistry (for parking)

I actually moved all mine back to sedo a couple of days ago after having a couple more enquiries like you mention over xmas. Didnt want to try Sedo again but figured I might as well, I don't like because of the parking ads as landing pages instead of a "make an offer" page. Domainmanage is probably the closest thing to what I want im terms of sales page.

The only benefit I see for Sedo and Uniregistry versus the others (such as mentioned) are the domains show on their vast directory should someone casually browse or look for keyword types; the others don't have enough client base to offer this successfully, therefore I can do an equal or better job myself, with personal loading pages to suit.

I tend to agree, you also have the addition of being included in the partner programs of uniregistry where if someone searches for availability on your domain at the big registrars like Godaddy or namecheap, instead of "unavailable" the user is presented with "premium domain".............although im not sure how that works or if I am even right about that as Godaddy and Namecheap seem to quote very very different prices for the same domain

I take that back, just tested adding the domain to my cart on each registrar and the prices changed when adding , so both the same price.

So, the trend continues of multiple email enquiries for all manner of domains from random locations across the globe, usually with throw away email addresses; yet verified by Uniregistry. Never an offer, just an enquiry, and never a reply when I ask for an offer. Looking forward to ditching Uniregistry in the new year; I figure a serious buyer looking for a specific domain will find me regardless, and I don't have to deal with archiving fake enquiries constantly. Uniregistry the new Sedo?

That is very interesting about emails being "verified" by uni-registry but yet never anything concrete - do you think bots could be at play here to keep everyone ticking over?

This is why I wanted a more robust test of serious buyers with email verification, but I took on board and implemented some changes http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/threads/e-mail-verification-update.144658/

I have no idea, but it does strike me as very odd, or as mentioned previously, just general visitors getting confused by the landing page and thinking they are contacting the wrong company.

It's not hard to prevent bots without verification. Already in place at domainoffer - contact is human but obviously a lot still don't understand and insist on asking questions related to previous services.
