The 11th June update is now in the download area
A whopping 648 thousand domains gone from the list. I wonder how many of these will end up in the registrars' hands as opposed to the rights holder.

The 18th June update now available
Another 370,000ish gone - won't be much left soon.

Obviously we underestimated the popularity of .uk With the recent publicity and the deadline fast approaching, Registrants are flocking to exercise their valuable rights. An outstanding success for Nominet - until renewal time.

And what's the betting that in about...say 11 months... nominet bring in a new rule stating that registrars can take over domains that aren't renewed without them entering the drop cycle?

It seems CSC-CORP have waited until the last minute to renew their client domains, including insurance.uk and creditcards.uk etc.

I'll download the latest list next Tuesday, as at least by then all that can be registered will be registered.

Almost like a damage limitation exercise for the .uk fiasco?

A possible reason for the sudden splurge of .uk registrations is that I've noticed just recently all the .co.uk domains names I have with Ukreg (Fasthosts), the .uk equivalent (where I've not claimed) is now showing Unavailable as the registrar has "secured all unclaimed .uk domain names for eligible Fasthosts registrant until Jul 2019" to "help those who miss the deadline".

Does this mean Fasthosts will effectively have first dibs on any decent .uk domains that go unclaimed and are registered with them, prior to the public offering?!

Well they got the date of the public release wrong! I suspect they've got it wrong on purpose, so they can delete the domains if not claimed prior to their billing date. I wonder how much they are charging to 'claim' your own domains back in the next couple of weeks!!!

Finally got round to registering the .uk for last remaining 20 of my domains...

So you can scrub those 20 gems from the list ;)

Yesterday it seems I was too quick to download the list from nominet.
They released a second list a couple of hours later which contained domains not in their first list.
I have now updated the area but will need to compile stats for the few that have been added - for now though you can at least see the extra domains.

Just a case of trawling through it. I normally order by CPC, SEO, searches and length as well as domain, I usually find a couple of new ones each time.

I also exclude all numeric and hyphenated names from the start.

Echo what others have said Rob, great list and thank you once again for your help in getting excel to work on my Mac.
