apd said:"-" means that the Overture search timed out. We all know sometimes Overture takes forever to get a result, so I set in the script a time out of 2 seconds, that way it doesn't make the script hang.
Of course, I could set the time out to say 10 seconds or more which would result in more Overture values (if it is slow at the time) but if you are searching for 100 domains at a time it could take ages for the results to come back. It's very hard to determine a good balance between getting an Overture value for every domain and one where the user wants a fast script. Maybe I should put a time out of 5 seconds as a compromise. Hope I've explained that correctly.
apd said:Can somebody tell me what this means "The WHOIS query quota for 83" as I keep getting this message on my script when I search the public whois, does it mean that I have reached my quota of searches on that particular IP address.
Also, what is the maximum number of searches that can be done in a 24 hour period on the public whois?
you are leaking infoAdmin said:Hello. So, do anyone happen to know anything about Whois and how it can be accessed?
