Hi guys

I picked this one up last week, could you give me some idea what it's value might be, please?

- TrainTimes dot info

Google Adwords tool shows it gets 1,220,000 (exact match) searches per month in the UK (hardly any in the rest of the world). Avg CPC £0.35

I know info isn't the best extension, but in this case it does seem to suit the name

Thanks, Jon

I like .info names, they are perfectly suited to information sites like train times would be.

This is my favourite train site, some great information on there, shows you what you could do with your name if you wanted to develop a nice train information site:

The Man in Seat Sixty-One...

I think it would be hard to rank a .info high in Google UK for this term.

If you do a search for 'Train Times' you see National Rail coming up 1st with sitelinks and www.traintimes.org.uk (a site with PR5 and an exact match uk domain) only ranking in the 5th position.

Still it's a nice name for an information site and there has to be some value there.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I don't have much time to develop this one at the moment, so I guess I'll stick it on Sedo and see if it gets any traffic

BTW did you know you can get two .info's for a quid at the moment on Godaddy, with the code - gdr0409a

I've been buying lots :)

Thanks again

Cheers, Jon

don't park it at sedo, because that will earn you approximately zilch per year, parking domains is well and truly finished, just put a mini site onto the domain with contact details and hopefully someone will pick it up.

Good, straight forward advice

Mini sites over parking anyday.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated

Yes, with the quality of names I have (so far) I'm only getting pennies a month at Sedo. But I'm getting in the habit of putting new names on there for a few weeks to see if there's any traffic (and where it comes from) before deciding what to do with them.

I think I followed the classic newbie practice of registering tons of names (over 400) and am now starting to work out which are valuable and which are worth developing

Cheers, Jon
