Yes, it is an obvious choice for a pub/restaurant, and it has some age - it was used for a restaurant and farm shop in the US.

I saw it remaindered on GoDaddy so I bought it, thinking about a pub I know that could use a web presence. Unfortunately that pub is a managed house, and I would have to try selling to the brewery MD, a famous curmudgeon of the first water.

I've dug around and found three potential customers, but I'm unsure how much to ask for. Please give me a price idea, I've never sold a pub domain before.

I cant see that it has any value to be honest.

Im not sure how many free houses are called Brown Cow in the UK, but Im guessing its not many. That coupled with the fact that its a .net.... Let it drop.

I have redcow.co.uk and I cant see much value in that either to be honest, although all the other colours have gone, so you never know.

The Brown Cow is a very common name and most pubs have to use a geo identifier to get a unique co.uk name.
The com and co.uk are in use, the net is the next most useful extension without having to use a geo. That's a plus point.

And one of the potential customers is in Switzerland. Think they want a co.uk?

I reckon you're not trying, according to this list there are 31 pubs called the Red Cow in England (there's one in Slough if you want to give it a try, it used to be my local 40 years ago). That's the only Red Cow I've had a drink in, but I've had a drink in six or seven pubs called the Brown Cow. Only 19 more to go, according to that list.

A misspent lifetime's experience tells me this domain ranks. Whatever, can't accuse me of not being helpful.

Ive been in a fair few pubs in my time ;) and I would wager that there are more Red Cows then there are Brown :)

For me Im afraid its value is minimal. If you were to find a landlord willing to pay cash for it, I think you would be looking at a score and some porkscratchings tops.

Why not market it as a webdesign startup name or something equally quirky?

Got to be more than a score, because it cost me a pony!

You're right, according to the list. 31 Red Cows, 26 Brown Cows.

But you're down south, I'm up north, and there are more Brown Cows up north, and more Red Cows down south.

Plus, one of the Brown Cows I've drunk in was renamed because the locals wouldn't call it by its official name. Nobody knows why, but the pub was always called the Ling Bob, possibly to distinguish it from the Brown Cow in nearby Bingley.

So it is now called the Ling Bob, and they didn't have any trouble getting the co.uk all to themselves.

I still don't reckon you're trying.

Not commercial in anything other than top tld or cctld even then a push? 5 minutes if that contacting pubs hyphenated is probably free to reg so even less likely to want net ? How many of the pubs are free houses if there tied then there is no budget…
