Wanted: Website Review the start of a new site

Putting the CSS in an external file is key imho.

2 reasons

1. One day you'll get a burst of inspiration about how you want the site to look and (as long as your structure and divs etc aren't too complicated) you'll be able to make sweeping changes across your entire content in one go. plus

2. You can then tweak the CSS to stay in tune with new ideas and designs to keep your site looking current.

i have no idea what you are talking about LOL

You can change how your whole site looks in one go without having to recode all the pages separately........

...so if you decide you don't like how your HDTV site looks you can change it very easily.

:confused:

Looks much better and certainly a nicer width.

If you create a file called style.css and place your CSS code within, then place the following:

<link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

between the <head></head> tags your CSS will be in a single file. This means when you edit say a text class, all the text with that class on the site will be changed. It saves a lot of time and is much quicker to load and crawl.

Thats already about a hundred times better but just keep playing and use your competitors sites as inspiration, and gain an insight as to why they are laid out as they are.

I agree there are more important things to do, but there is also no point in working to bring traffic if they leave straight away.
