Wanted: Domain Appraisal Thais/co/uk - Any thoughts ?

Hi everybody,

Thais/co/uk

Good name ? Bad name ? Any ideas what could be done with it ?

Perhaps a nice lady site ! !..

Perhaps a not-so-nice lady site !!...

Or maybe something to do with Thai cuisine.

Any thoughts on potential value ?

I'm just not sure on this one, but fancied a punt.

Halleluja !!!

At last you have something decent, not quite generic but good.

Thais on keyword tool : global 60k exacts and local 6.5k exacts.

I would definitley go down the route of thai brides, if you could find an affiliate on this then it would earn good money, otherwise you could find paid for advertising.

You would need to somehow get traffic for it first to gain interest from advertisers.

You sure Doodle? I get these exact results for Thais and Thai's.

Thais:
590 = local
60,500 = global

Thai's:
Not enough data = local
170 = global

I see Thai get's over 20,000 exacts so although the plural isn't a searchable term perhaps it would still be useful ? ?

Rush is correct, because i was doing an appraisal for someone i quickly jumped on Google keyword tool but didn't change default location.

So, Thai Brides it is then !

Not sure I'm overly comfortable with the concept, but the name fits ! - they must get the shock of their lives when Mike Baldwin turns up at the airport, looking 20 yrs older and 20lbs heavier than his photo, to whisk them off to their new life of unbridled passion in deepest darkest south humberside...

Crabfoot's Barnsley idea perhaps has more appeal !

If any-one has any other ideas for this name it would be great to hear them.

I get 590 local exact with Google keywords too

Looking at the avg CPC - the only words/phrases over a quid are to do with Thai travel, Thai holidays....

Personally I'd go down that route. Maybe think of something the "s" could stand for. Like "Thai Sun" or "Thai Search"

Thinking long-term, your domain/website will be much more saleable in the future if it's a half-decent travel-related site (there's a much bigger market for people buying travel sites than Thai bride sites

)

Just my two-pennorth (I'm in Sheffield, perilously close to Barnsley!

Yes, I think you're right about that. Perhaps have the letter 'S' in a setting sun.

I've joined all the major affiliate programs, what would you suggest would be the best to join for a travel and hotel-related site ?

I sold a number of my travel-related names so they must be onto a good thing somewhere.
