but i have had NO sales from this traffic, not 1 sale.
can anyone see any obvious reasons why?

i have alot worse domains and websites that make money.. but not this keyword domain.

I would put links to the best shops to buy telescopes from in the centre of the page, about 5 to 8 cm down from the top. That's the best place to get clicks IMO. I like to put affiliate links right in the centre of the page, as on this mens suit site.

I just browsed through the first 2 pages of refractor telescopes, several were on backorder (not available) and several brought up BAD REQUEST (Invalid URL)

The few that did show were highlighted as 5-7 days for delivery which as a buyer would make me look elsewhere to see if I could get it any quicker.

Nice clean site though, looks good.

The Warehouse Express site you are linking to has a prominent phone number which could be losing you sales.

Try some other programmes, I suggest Amazon.

thanks for replies so far.

seems more likely to be a link problem than a design/layout issue?

People who are looking for telescopes will generally fit in to two categories. Those who know the exact telescope they want, or those who don't - quite new to astronomy - and need advice.

For the first type of visitor the poor navigation and product searching will send them elsewhere. For the second type your visitors will want helpful information and advice choosing the right telescope. For instance - for a novice with £200 in their pocket to invest in a telescope (it will be classed as an investment) what telescope will show nebula cloud in Orion's belt plus planetry rings of Saturn.....

I know a bit about telescopes (not sure if you do) but looks like you've slapped a mismatch of different products with pointless categories (books for example right at he top of your category list!! - people looking for telescopes are not at that time searching for astronomy books) in an attempt for someone to click through and buy. Won't happen much in that industry....so can probably see why you have no sales right now.

With some affiliate sites adding products that are well in to the £xxx bracket you need to handhold the visitor. Telescopes are not casual purchases - they are thought out purchases and I don't know many novice astronomers or would be astronomers who don't ask 100 questions before they buy.

Also I saw a suggestion to affiliate with Amazon - don't - no astronomer would buy a telescope from Amazon.

Where is your traffic coming from though, are they simply searching for 'telescope' or are they searching for specific makes / models etc....?
