Wanted: Domain Appraisal .tel domains HELP PLEASE

Hi All

I know what the general feeling on this forum is regarding .tel domains.

I rushed in and bought loads which in heinz sight looking at it now I should not have done.

However I did mange to preorder and get a couple of good ones which are listed below -

hayley.tel
delia.tel
shelia.tel
chay.tel
lakeside.tel
gretnagreen.tel

Should I just hold onto these and see what happens over the next year`as I am thinking if it does take off some of the christian names might be woth a few quid as well as Lakeside and Gretna Green.

Any advice would be so much appreciated and thanks in advance

The questions isn't should I offload them? The question should be Can I offload them?

Can I afford them to keep them ? - Yes they are so cheap to buy.

Can I offload them ? - Probably not so I will just hold on to them and see what happens.

Personally keep hold of them up until renewal, see what comes in. If the renewals are cheap and there have been previous sales on other .tel's then renew and hope to sell.

I would say, definitely hold on to the christian names, Sedo just finished a .me featured auction and some names went for nice money.

I only have 1 .tel and i'm hoping for Sedo doing a .tel auction but think it will be like 1 year away yet ?

Gretnagreen.tel sounds like the contact details for someone who arranges illegal weddings :lol:

Lakeside, there's a company called Lakeside, maybe they will buy it ?
Don't offer it to them though because they will imply you regged it in bad faith

NB* look at the Google ad at the bottom, offer it to them.

Hi

I bought Lakeside because it is a very heavily visted place in kent due to its huge shopping centre and most people have heard of it.

I thought it may be good to add the shops details or something along those lines.

As for Gretna Green again a very popular domain and well visted place for weddings.

Thought that some wedding company may be interested in purchasing this at a later date.

Hi, Lakeside shopping centre is in Thurrock, Essex. Kent's nearby equivalent is called Bluewater. As a point of note the Lakeside website is another .uk.com example.

Yes I should have known this really.

Been to Lakeside lots of time shopping.

Oh well, im sure it may have some value at a later date if not I will just keep hold of it an see what happens.

my missus is called delia and her sister is called hayley...

but the name delia isn't a very popular name.

No your right delia is not very popular.

I backordered loads of .tel christian names but only got the 4.

I must be honest I was very surprised to get Hayley as it has been a top 500 name for a number of years in the US, however the last couple of years it has dropped into the top 800.Even still it is a very popluar name and I have many friends with the name.

So I will definateley keep my eye on this one and see what happens.
