Yes Paul ,

It seems like the big investment groups have booked all of them giving most people no chance of getting a 2 letter .co.uk Alot of people will be loosing out there £10 booking fee ....

Plenty of auctions to deal with now ...

Thats another balls up nominet have made i think. They should have capped it to about 5 domains per application/tag holder. But now every 2 letter will goto auction and the people with £££ will get them, and im sure nominet didnt want this from the start as they said they wanted it to be fair. Also if every domain goes to auction on 27th July how can someone who has applied for every 2 letter bid for them all? I know ill get slatted for putting this but i and alot of people will waste the £10 non refundable knowing that a they know a person with £££ has also applied for the same domain they have gone for and every one for that matter.

A chap in NZ got in early with LL.co.nz's - domainsforsale_co_nz/domains_2-letter.htm

When you look at what he has held vs. sales, it doesn't look good.

yes it wouldn't be good practice to let the auctions run one at a time ,imagine if you pay £12 per auction to enter 20 x £12 and multi nationals with deep pockets capture the bulk of the domains = good bye Nominet ,they are not squeky clean and have had problems with bad directors and such so this would be the last straw for them ,imagine registering for all the auctions and you dont get anything  no reimbursement

I think nominet or the auction house should start them all at the same time. Then at least people whould get a slim chance.

Would probably make things fairer and give more people a chance of securing domains if they did though.

Looks like the auction for CV.co.uk will be fun, 12 applicants already (haven't seen any higher than that).
