I was checking the .co.uk auctions and then jumped into .London section, and, voila!! At least the 2nd and the 3rd ones are very solid!! .. what do you think?

What do we think? Well there are only 100,000ish .london domains registered. I have never seen a big sale (or actually any sales), a big site using it, an aftermarket in it, people asking for it, etc. The fact that central.london is shown there for £6 says it all. In my opinion these are worthless. It's just more clutter for the site.

.. are London & Partners under The City of London Corporation? .. has anyone met them? .. I keep seeing .Berlin guy at all the ICANN events, though haven't had luck to meet and talk to a .London rep.

.. it is very strange not seeing and not hearing the team.. they must be busy on something, of course, it is me who hasn't been able to meet them .. it would be amazing to buy this registry, wouldn't it? .. I love .London!!

Nice!!! 88'625 names! They are doing much much better than I thought, and had heard from a couple of competing geographical gTLD registry reps!!

correction: there are definetelly not 88k .london names



it appears in a zone file every nameserver has a line for itself = a single domain usually has 2-4 nameservers..

screenshots:

has 3 nameservers > so, there are 3 lines for this domain name in the zone file.

discovered it just now > me and @Admin were examining the zone file to see what information potentially we can extract for displaying in the .london domain name live auction feed (for example, registrar, registration date, expiry date, etc). .. then noticed stackdns nameservers (20i Cloud) and only then noticed that 4 nameservers actually create 4 lines for a single server:

ran the list via chatgpt >> it said that the zone file contains 34,124 unique domain names.
