rgds.

hi!

not sure, they offered me £4k so i took it!

all sold and transferred now, a very smooth transaction. I did not try to up their offer - i just took it!

thanks!

Yes, nice sale, I think it was a good price. Interesting site on underwater ROVs on there now.

They were very professional, just gave me a great starting offer which I accepted - no haggling! (much to my wife's dismay)

You can feel pleased with your sale, but there is never any harm in "testing the water" with a tongue in cheek sale price and see what type of reaction you get. If someone is offering you this kind of money you know they're serious, so you can see how far you can push it. Negotiation technique takes a bit of honing, but you now have a nice "war chest" to go domaining and hone yours.

Oh no. If you get one offer, you take it. If you get more than one, you negotiate.
In the long run, that's best.

I would be very pleased with £4000.

That's a free "all inclusive" holiday to a nice destination next year. Ask your wife how's she's feeling when she's lying on her lounger soaking up the rays.

I think you will find the reply is "I love you"

.

Decent enough end user sale for 3 letter.

Well done :)

hi guys,

thanks for your comments!

my wife was sure i could up the price, they were so eager with a good start price. i just thought it was a fair price and with myself in some 1000%+ profit i guessed to push further would be just plain greedy! (and may push me into a potential abusive registation territory?)

a domain sold at £4k is better than an 'almost' sale at £5k ;)

if i'd had more than one offer it would be different but i did my research and the domain name was hardly any use to anyone else ecept that particular firm and so i personally thought their offer was on the higher end of the scale and so warranted an immediate agreement.

it's my best domain sale, a completely unexpected offer for a domain i'd pretty much forgotten about - it was just parked at NameDrive. so it was a lovely surprise!

Good observation :) 'abusive' registrations are often when the price is in excess of the buyers budget :)

Agreed - as I always say, some of the value in an offer is in the offer existing in the first place.

4k is ok, but personally i think you may have been a bit foolish to sell so quick.

if someone goes in at 4k then that means aleast 6k in my book.

as for abusive reg, i dont think they have a leg to stand on so long as your not try to passyourself off as them.

still good a job well done!
