I have a site, please don't mention it if you know of it, it brings in £300 to £350 a month, it's contracted to a company, approx 0.33 for 1000 pi so traffic can be built, it's not stand alone and is part of a network. If things got tough in the future, do you think it could be sold on and would there be much interest, if so for how many years rev? I've had income from it each month since 1999. Albeit money was better in 2000 but those were the days.

Four years would be £16,800, ten years £42,000, there's other things to consider as well, stability of site, users, what it could be turned into. Not looking to sell, just assessing assets.

Thanks
Lee

I will never pay more than 18-24 months revenue. In this current climate i'm at 12-18 months. No matter how big the network is it can still go bust, now i'd say push 2 years, the risks are high as the company leasing could drop you in a heart beat, the network could go bust etc.

Traffic is nothing really just a heads up. Look at the om3 name, 800-1500 a day and its not selling yet.

There are really to many variations eg predicted growth, market demand etc etc but this may get you on the right track

Well I'd have to get from 4 to ten years for it, it's my pension, it'll still be running when I'm 80 unless the medium changes completely.

If you owned it lock, stock and barrell, then you you could command 4+ but as you rely on another party, which you have no control over, that slices the risks into pieces.

One of my partners just bought a business in a vertical market, established 7 yrs, 3 of them as a bricks and mortar, last 4 online, complete with a collection of domain names, 5,000 of wholesale value stock for 2 yrs net + stock. They looked at like 5 other businesses all was similar priced. People now are selling up before the crunch strikes them, so totally the wrong time to sell but great time ot buy :)
