Probably for the third time in last 12 months or so I am faced with situation of somebody paying for a domain on Sedo but then failing to complete. The money is held in suspense by Sedo and inevitably they will get it back.

A hell of a lot of sales not being completed at the moment. Won't be long before I remove my 4,000 names - just as soon as I get my domain sales pages sorted for each domain.

Stephen.

Will ping you on MSN about a good system to do that for free :)

Cheers,
Rob.

If a user on here failed to complete this many transactions for whatever reason I'm sure they would be banned from here.

Sedo should count themselves lucky the admin team is understanding. Sedo have treated the uk extention especially with disprespect in my opinion.

By the way well done on professionally appraising report.co.uk for $50k then going on to sell it via your own site for $12,500

I bet you won't put that in your RSS feed

The name was appraised by Sedo at $50K, which was over priced and I finally sold it at Sedo itself for $12,750. I was the seller of the name and it was a negotiated sale.

Does anybody know if there is a point in a Sedo sale when the seller (me) can put a stop to negotiations.... I received an offer which was slightly lower than what I wanted, so I put the name up for auction. No more offers were received, so therefore the original person was committed to buy it, after three attempts the buyer has not paid or replied to Sedo..

Is this common ?? I did get the feeling the buyer didn't realise they would be be committed as soon as I accepted their offer, their comment was 'I have bought xxxxxx.co.uk which I prefer to your name, but I'm willing to offer you £xxx".
