Sedo Parking Revenue

Last couple of weeks for parking revenue not looking good on my Sedo portfolio. Overall I'm pretty much back to where I was before the announced revenue enhancements back in August. Is my experience similar to others? All my domains are already optimised by hand so not much more I can reasonably do there.

Disappointing thing is that I had hoped to do better from a summer lull as the nights draw in and people spend more time indoors.

Can I ask why you are not using Sedo Pro for your listings? They all appear to land on the naff standard page.

Actually this is the Lite SedoPro template which according to Sedo's documentation is "our top performing non-graphical lander".

Really don't have the time to mess about with photos etc and there doesn't seem to be any evidence that the other lander pages do better. What does everybody else think?

Mysteriously my Sedo revenue for yesterday has doubled overnight! Not sure it's due to the influence of my Acorn post - suspect it's either a cock-up in the stats or if it's true then what has happened to my revenue over the lost month?

Unfortunately the increased earnings are statistically related.
The statistics from yesterdays earnings were reported twice as the new month’s stats were made available. I apologize for the inconvenience; our Technical department is hard at work to ensure the proper values are reported

You should notice some daily fluctuation in earnings due to the nature of the feed we are currently using. The fluctuation will be notable in the EPC. The EPC value you see in your statistics varies greatly on which advertisement is selected by the visitor. ex. If the top advertisement is chosen one day, you may see very high EPC... the next day perhaps the middle advertisement is selected, and you are likely to see lower EPC.


In Regards to Sedo Layouts::
The "Lite" layout performs better overall when no optimization is completed,
however if you are planning on taking a little time to optimize your domains it is recommended that you use a layout with a photo. Photos can be very beneficial if relevant, however an incorrect photo can negatively impact CTR.

Thanks for the tip on optimising - I will belong the long job of converting my templates then!!

As regards the stats, I fully understand the possibility of random fluctuations (my full time job is as a statistician ) - however if you look at my account you will see that my page views miraculously doubled yesterday with a similar relative increase in revenue.

A doubling when I have 1500 or so names listed is not very likely unless something is wrong with yesterdays data or views haven't been correctly recorded in the recent past.

On this occasion my experience has been quite the opposite. It really has to be down to the individual portfolio names. My earners are single dictionary words and a few three letter acronyms. I find that two word domains are generally not great earners, but that again is all about their quality.

Don't know if that was a bit of a dig but my comments are based on receiving at least 5000 views with more than 10 per cent click thrus and epc of at least 0.20 euros. That's a pretty big sample from which to draw conclusions, irrespective of generic characteristics of the domain.
