It's nice to hear that some people really do recognise this.
One reason is that a seller may end up with a sale for much lower than he wanted. For example, say if you bid $60 on one of my domains, and I make a counter offer of $300, because that's nearer my domain's worth in my opinion. Maybe I'll get you to put in a higher offer. However, if you don't make another bid and I put the domain into auction, there is a chance that nobody else will bid, then I have to sell my domain to you for $60, leaving you with a bargain. For that reason, many sellers do avoid the auction.

It was more the point of why a seller (which I have been on your system and it did well for me) would ever press accept bid on your system instead of going straight to auction?
