Hi, I have a mid xxx offer on s h a r e i t .co.uk (without the spaces, obviously) and would appreciate any thoughts on its end-user value. Struggling to come up with a counter offer.

Many thanks, Grant

Thanks aqls, I had not considered that area, I was associating it more with online file/photo sharing etc.

Hi Grant,

I was going to post anyway but here is what I think...

I bought filetransfers.co.uk a couple of years ago and paid low xxx and I personally think your name is much much better.

It would be ideal for file sharing and once people knew it was an actual service I am sure the traffic would massively increase.

Take a look at yousendit.com as an example of what I would do in the future with that particular domain name.

Offer a free service ,upto sending limit of say 25MB (for example) and if they require larger sending of files, then get them to sign up and pay per month. ;)

I would definitely develop this name "file sharing" is massive on the net!

Cheers DB, trouble is I have a list as long as both my arms of sites waiting to be developed :( If you were selling it to an end user what price range would you estimate?

Grant

Further to my post, hhmm I would ask atleast 2k?

Infact tell a lie - I wouldnt sell ;)

Stiff competition in this market at the moment with fickr and yourtube. Definitely potential depends whether you have the time or money to get into it all?
Good name

Post answered!

Its really hard sometimes to value domain names, I find alot of the times names I think are worth not alot - end up getting sold well into the £xxxx, where as on the other hand - names that I think will fetch good money dont even get a single enquiry. :???:

I think I remember Paul saying almost the same.
