Hi,

Just got hold of run.org.uk. I was hoping for a few thoughts on whether it would be better to try and find a buyer now or to develop a site and get it to the top spot? 'Run' has 135,000 monthly searches.

Feedback appreciated.

Cheers
Chris

It's not a trademarked word with a large amount of exacts so looks good initially. Get it to the top of search engines and you're quids in. From reseller pov I'd say anywhere from £50-£400

I think it's a great name. Especially this year. Think of a clever strategy, team up with a wholesome brand and data capture heaven with a few revenue spin offs to boot.

What did the person you bought it from use it for ? You could always do that as a last resort.

From Who.is, it was previously owned by RUN - 'Reaching the Unchurched Network'.

Wasn't expecting that!

Thanks for the responses. Maybe it would be best then to build a website and work on getting it ranked, as well as linking in with the athletics community for 2012.

Good spot Scott! I didn't expect the domain to have that kind of history either.

Cheers.

Good luck with it. It certainly looks like it has some potential.

Link it in with 2012 and it's a dead duck.

Use 2012 to grow something quicker yes. But as for making it a focus you are never going to make it successful.

We won't be linking it in too heavily with 2012. We'll just be trying to pinch a bit of the hype whilst it's there ;)
