Right Of Registration EPP Script (Free)

Nah not at all, as I said earlier dont mean to sound short just replying as quick as I can to people

If anyone is feeling generous enough to go for clifford.uk and send it my way feel free;)

If the test was just before you posted the clocks out and will be looking for 01-07-19.txt

If your server has US settings it might need to read 07-01-19.txt

If your list is set for 2nd July release it won’t see that till your server is in same date.

I put a random available co.uk in the folder just to test it (then deleted the domain afterwards)

Hope you get it sorted.

Just to confirm that my issue was down to DAC access. It is working perfectly now so many thanks Ian & Aaron.

Just looking through the logs for yesterday. All seemed to be running fine a few minutes before the release when I started the script, but I'm not sure if I've got an issue when the time hits 14:00 or if it was just a glitch in the log times as it appears to have only sent one EPP request at 14:00.

13:59 – First 9 x EPP requests sent, 9 x responses (as expected) with 'Your request for domain '____.uk' has failed because this domain has been reserved by Nominet'

14:00 – Only 1 x EPP request sent in for the first domain in the list from what the log says, response of 'Domain name exists already'

14:01 – Back to 9 x EPP requests again for the next 9 domains in the list, 9 x responses (as expected) of 'Domain name exists already'

No other scripts running, no errors for throttling and DAC/EPP connections are both fine (have tested with registering available domains).

This is all pretty new to me so any help is appreciated. Cheers! :)

Why are you sending epp requests at 13.59?

I've not seen this repeated in any tests I've done, or when helping people? I don't know if anyone else has that can help?

you want to be starting this at 13:59 so the first EPP requests hit at 14:00. It first gathers the domains as xml to actually hit at 2pm

Not using cron, started the script from command line at 13:58. :)

(Edit: did this on the testbed releases too and seemed to work without causing issues)

The RoR EPP is live all the time now. They will probably turn it off after all the drops at the end of the week.

Start it at 13:59

Cheers, didn't think it would make any difference as during testing no matter how early the script is started it still sent 9 x EPP requests every minute without issue – will try waiting until 13:59 today!

Thanks Steve,

I ran the test at 19:14, would the live ROR EPP not be accessible at this time? I did have a list inside the domains folder, which was for the 1st (some random test domain) @Aaron Clifford do you have any clues mate?

You mentioned you're hitting the code through a browser – have you tried running it from command line? I'm far from an expert but I'm sure I originally had a similar issue until I re-read the instructions! :D

The EPP will be live and it certainly looks like the script is running ok, its the domain lists that have the issue

If you put in half a dozen of today's drops they will come up as an error till 2 o clock.

My understaning is that the script will fire off the first batch of EPP requests without using the DAC. Subsequent batches are subject to being DAC checked first. Correct me if I am wrong..

Don't run this through the browser. Get a Linux VPS, install PHP and run from Command line.

What errors are you getting now?

Don't run it through a browser, this is made for command line, browser would of been fine for testing not for live.

It may error due to the file paths potentially, what is the file name inside the domains folder?
