I just bought a monitor/tv from richersounds a lg m227wd 1080p
It is good for Hdtv but its not so good on free view
I bought a VGA cable with it and was well #@#@ed off when i got back as it had shadows on the screen. i researched and understood i could use a DVI
when i plugged that in and switched to dvi setting it was AMAZING.
and has prompted my to buy another one.
in the shop the guy was persuading me to go for a samsung because of the contrast. i was convinced that i wanted 1080p.
when the monitor/tv located the dvi setting it instantly changed to 1920x1080, i new at that point i had made the right decision as the monitors pixel size is optimised to my graphics card.
why don't you do a write up surrounding this experience

And refresh rates
refresh rates are important for gamers as they want all the action moving as fast as possible without juddering

and that you advise where possible to get a dvi over vga
and that hdmi is just about the same quality apart from hdmi includes 5.1 stereo sound.
and the symptoms of a poor quality lead ( shadows, fuzzy unlear screen)
then you could do a whole paragraph on graphics cards and there relation to monitors,
and how you will be able to fit more information on the screen
and how good graphics cards allow the use of two screens and the different ways you can interact with those screens
and how more people are wanting 2 monitors and that you would need a graffics card with 2 of the same ports ( idealy DVI ) as most as standard have 1 DVI and 1 VGA
and what about the emergence of HD and people wanting to watch blu-ray on there computers and how you will need a new HD graphics card.
And is it worth having a HDMI graphics cards vs DVI
I havent seen the quality difference but have been told its the same so it boils down to ones got stereo sound in the same lead and the others got a more secure connection( screws)
and then include a bit on how google crome allows you to fire a tab straight in to the second screen
this is hopefully convincing your customers that they want to buy two screens from your store and that they will probably need a new graphics card and a bit more ram to do it.
may be you should do a multi output graphics card review
and have it or a link to it in eye view to make people more aware of this option.

and what about guarantees, the last flat screen monitor i bought ( a few years ago ) died a week after the guarantee ran out
when i went to find out if it was repairable they said "no" but told me all it was was the backlight
this to me seems like it could very easily happen again which is why i got the 5 year guarantee (10% of the cost )
