I don't view the domain as that valuable as you'd be better off focusing on sites for individual products, e.g. life insurance, that would be of interest to people approaching retirement.

What do you think it's worth?

It can be a whole cat site ie retirement everything to do with it including life insurance etc but it would take a lot of work and would be an ongoing project with content and links having to be added all the time to maintain rank since it would be so broad ...

But if u did it and got lots of traffic it would be worth a lot ....

Good luck difficult to know what it would be worth undeveloped ...

Finally a name that just seems to 'suit' the .org.uk extension.

For people planning to retire your site could be a haven for information, with the associated offshoots and affiliate links to insurance, releasing equity and all the other things old farts get up to.

I still detest the extension, but this looks like a real winner to me.

I don't like many .org.uk.

I'd be happy to have that one sitting in my portfolio - If it were just the .org I'd consider it one of my best. I agree this ones looking to be a labour of love (content and profit) for someone - otherwise it's just a redirect or directory. I'd imagine it's getting a couple of hundred type-ins a month - thats certainly not going to diminish over time either

Great domain for a massive development - not so hot for a minisite.

Retirement is fairly newsworthy, so doing some surveys and stuff like that could generate significant press interest, build the brand and generate strong backlinks.

If this can be done and the site taken to eg PR5 or so, then there's a great opportunity for selling retirement planning, retirement homes, retirement income etc on the back of it.

But a ton of work.

Lovely domain, but will take a lot of effort, this isn't a minisite domain

I am going to develop this into an information site like Saga but with some modern features as their site looks very dated.

Personally I think it needs to be in the hands of someone fully (time) commited as a project.

As a positive that takes it well outside of the normal domain roundabout circles - which of course is where all good domains should end up.

Took a look at all the other "retirement dot xxx" assignments/registrants. Looks like it was all us very old boys that thought that internet thing had some legs
