Anyone any idea's what this domain may be worth abouts?

Its linked to sedo at the minute and I've thought about developing it, but nothing really springs to mind.

Its currently on page 1 of google for the search term ratio at number 8 so doesn't look like a competitive area.

Any ideas or suggestions/

Thanks Mally

Any suggestions for this domain name? (I've had an offer for £50 inc transfers, made me smile)

At the moment I am struggling to think of a use for the domain or if it is even brandible.

If I caught it on a drop and someone offered me £50+costs then personally I would take it, however if you can pitch me a concept for it then I could change my mind.

I like it - Mathematics site for kids? Like help with GCSE maths, etc? :)

PS: Also makes me think of gear ratios/engines for some reason.

nope still not convinced.. while its a dictionary domain.. struggling to find a profitable market or enduser.

.

Seems the most logical choice. It's a nice name, but i'm struggling to think of too many specific uses for it.

I'd value it at quite a bit more than £50. It's a good name but it needs a purpose attached to it.

It would make a good name for a traffic stats service though it would be a brave soul who would take on Google Analytics. Perhaps provision of stats in some less contested market. Domain name stats would be an interesting one.

I think it would work as a ad network/ affiliate network too as there is always some kind of revenue split with these types of service.

Hmm... so you want an idea for a site based around the word ratio?

Imagine someone is thinking of moving to another city or town and as part of the decision making process wants some stats about the place. Certainly of use would be some of the following info:

Ratio of violent crime to non-violent crime
Employment/Unemployment ratios
Ratio of vacancies in particular industry sectors such as IT etc.
Ratio of males vs females in a particular area
Ratio of good vs bad schools

Where else to find all this valuable information than a nice memorable Ratio.co.uk

Better get a developer on the case right now and when you start making millions don't forget to send me a big fat cheque for my consulting fee. ;)

As a math teacher ratios (and proportions) are very dear to me.

You could turn it into a math site but why "ratio" over another math term.

You could also turn it into a recipe website (ratios are used when baking/mixing ingredients). Might be an interesting name.

Otherwise you could start you're own pop group called, you guessed it, "Ratio", then go on to sell a million million records around the world and you'll have the ideal domain (though you might want to secure the .com also) :)

I would wager my odds on a pop group or CSI name like ho.ratio.co.uk ;)

Get yourself down to X-factor and start convincing people that ratio would be a fantastic name for their act. But do wait till they are in the semi-finals at the very least.

Perhaps a currency comparison site. pounds to dollars, euros etc, offer currrency services maybe. Tricky one.
Another thought, the word is a mathematical one but makes me think of banking and money markets, there's big dollars somewhere there perhapse?
Good luck
Dave. Popuploke.
