Rare Domains in the Wild!

Love this post - need to add some shortly.

Did you see Josh Reason bought coffeeanddonuts.com (was on Sherpa)
I stopped watching Sherpa a couple years ago when it became a circle jerk about NFTs and other nonsense which is a shame because I used to enjoy it and learned a lot from them.

That's a good name though I'd say.

Yeah I've found it quite surprising how many I see. These are predominantly from central London. Any I've seen that are shop fronts are mainly in semi gentrified "hipster" locations.

Imagine bradfields-co-uk / uk - both free to hand reg!

It baffles me sometimes how unaware/naive people cam be as to the power of a domain upgrade especially when it can be almost free.

Another thing I've noticed is how many companies still don't have a self owned web presence, opting to use a social media page instead and even operating from an obscure email address like @blueyonder.com (who remembers those).

Well spotted on the two available Bradfields domains, those two would be great upgrades for that Essex farm

Yes it is surprising on both domains and emails - blueyonder is a blast from the past!

Bradfields feels really nice rather than the added farms - will look at whois as it may not have been available at the time or they thought SEO was better on a longer domain.
I thought exactly that, maybe it wasn't available at the time and they have never kept an eye on it. Also once your business is up and running on a name it can be a royal pain in the arsenal to change it.

Yes we did an upgrade for bridgingdirectory-com to bridging-com and it was an 18 month freeze out.

There are other ways of doing it - even for emails its much easier to remember etc
Now that's a serious upgrade!

I see a surprising amount of .London in... well... London. A way bigger uptake than I'd have thought. I've noticed a lot of construction sites use a .London.

This is a great one - i wonder how stage coach do the rest of the uk?
Hmm yeah hadn't thought about that. I guess a .London isn't great for a someone operating nationally. I'm guessing they run their London campaign as a separate entity as its so big.
