i don't see how you can proove this fact?
Are you sure you dont mean it was caught within 2 seconds of you detecting it?

argonaut said:The name in question was caught because, as we all know, the randomiser isn't random. The timing of the drop of this domain was known because the time of the drop of the domain that dropped before it was observed and noted. The drop sequence is like a domino effect. When the first one goes the timing of the rest can be calculated quite accurately - within two seconds. I guarantee that the first domain of any pre nom drop batch is almost never caught by the top dogs. That first name dog is a puppy. The rest....
J2theIZZO said:If this is so and you know of this "Pattern" then how come you haven't cleaned up yesterday?...just fire 200 automatons when it's going to drop if you know when it will?!?!
argonaut said:...or, an inside job.
Slater said:This pattern must also repeat during normal drops as the top prenom catcher also also catches virtually all the high traffic domain names which drop on a daily basis.
argonaut said:To know the pattern you need a big data set. Know you of where one is to be found? Not in Newark is it?
jonno said:here we go again... point finger time again...
J2theIZZO said:Dunno, I haven't been to Newark in a long time, worth a try.
I don't know about all of that, our DAC customers seemed to do ok yesterday without any kind of timing addition etc (One of them was a top 3 catch IMO), I don't see why you need a big data set to work out timing...just monitor 5-6 names, note drop time find the multiplyer.
I'm sure people will give up droptimes for you if you asked them nicely.
argonaut said:False contact details then? ;-)
Are you more of a Blidworth/ Farnsfield man?
J2theIZZO said:Oh yes, i'm all about the false contact details....i'm actually just situated off Arno Vale Road, NG5 at the moment....that's where the BIG datasets are found.
Just pointing out that a pattern must have been identified, not saying this is in anyway cheating, I would like Nominet to update their randomizer code to once again level the playing field until next time it is cracked .
