RU21 for those that do not know anything about it is the worlds number 1 hangover cure, it is an all natural product and to put basically gets rid of the harmful toxins from alcohol. It was previously on sale in Boots and Superdrug in 2001.
I bought RU21 about 5-6 months ago and have since done a complete redesign which has brought a lot of compliments and have also setup purchasing the product direct from the manufacturer, we have also got number one rankings across the board.
If you look at RU21.com you will see we are the preferred UK supplier.
We started it as a affiliate and were making about £3-5 per day quite comfortably but to take this forward we needed stock, in truth we have done very little apart from count the money. It is now at a stage where we either put effort into this to turn it into a big earner with social media, or concentrate on our other ecommerce sites.
Costs are as follows
It costs us £1.89 per pack, that is a landed price and includes customs etc we paid.
If we sell only 1 pack we flatten box, put in a A5 jiffy and add a large second class stamp so total cost is about 65p inc of stamp and jiffy
If we sell 3 packs it costs £1 inc of stamps and Jiffy
If we sell 6 pack bundle or more it costs £1.90 inc of stamps and jiffy
We charge £1.49 postage so make money on these as well, unless we sell a 6 pack and then there is a 41p difference.
It is on our reseller hosting so happy to throw in 6 months free.
Sales are as follows:
As an affiliate we were making on average £125 per month up until the 7th of November where we completely redesigned the site and started dispatching.
November 7th onwards - £330
December - £477
January - £467
February up until the 19th - £200
As you can see sales are very good and would average out without any further work at £4700 in sales over 12 months.
Profit is as follows:
1 pack you make £6.44 - paypal = £6.02 - purchase price and postage, jiffy etc leaves £3.48 per pack pure profit
3 pack you make £15.74 - paypal fee = £15 - purchase price and postage, jiffy etc leaves £8.33 per pack of 3 profit
6 pack you make £28.49 - paypal fee = £27.32 - purchase price and postage, jiffy etc leaves £14.08 profit.
So conservatively this has made £750 profit in 4 months, over the next 8 it will easily do another £1500 without any further work so £2250 profit in 12 months.
I am open to offers please. I would prefer to do a deal on Acorn rather than Flippa.
Given the redesign, domain name, potential and profitability please submit your offers via PM or general post.
There is no deadline on this, i though i would see if it was of interest to anyone on here before putting on Flippa.
I also currently have 165 packs left, obviously this changes every day but that is worth around £300 cost or £700 retail.
