Hi Domainers,

Please help appreciate

1. GameTables.co.uk. I am thinking snooker/billiars/boardgames/chess/roulette, etc...

Looks like around 5400 Exact match searches per month.

I am looking to sell the domain.

2. CustomJewelry.co.uk.

I realise it should be spelled jewellery, but I think it still holds value as most people will actually spell it the short way?

Looks like around 9963 Exact match searches per month (could be more US related searches).

Your help will be appreciated.

Regards

Just doesn't look right, in the UK it is most definitely jewellery and I've never seen jewelry written by British person (unless they can't spell). Can't see any value I'm afraid.

1. GameTables.co.uk.
2. CustomJewelry.co.uk.

Sorry, but the market for these types of domain has evaporated. Google stopped boosting exact match domains years ago, so the exact match searches are now irrelevant, the domains can't help you with that much.

Neither domain is distinctive and therefore has no brand power.

Jewelry is the wrong spelling for the UK market. It's pretty hard to make online jewellery sales in my opinion anyway.

If you were lucky you might make a low sale on GameTables.co.uk on DomainLore.

Sorry, but this is my honest opinion.

Good luck anyway.

@accelerator , now listed GameTables.co.uk + .uk on DomainLore, ending today, but there does not seem to be much interest yet. There is some time left so I can only hope!

Sorry this is wrong. EMD's still work great AND customers still value them and BUY them which is the point here. The market for EMDs has not evaporated, far from it. Despite Google's assertions that they have reduced the weighting on EMDs it just has not followed through. The sooner one realises that much of what Google says is actually just propaganda the better. I've countless cases of exact match domains performing out of their skin in great part due to their keyword inclusion. I've got blogs that I sell dofollow links on, have done for years, they rank well and do not get banned. If you take all Google's guidelines as gospel you are missing out. I've recently bought a site that has the worst content I've ever read (broken English), so much for their quality writing ranking signal (the site ranks p1 Google.com for a bunch of relevant terms). G says lots of things which are far from reality with regards to ranking and SEO.

It makes me laugh how much people believe much of the spin that comes from Google. Maybe EMDs don't have as much power as they used to but I've come across loads of examples where EMDs are punching above their weight in the SERPS despite competition from older domains and ones with better link profiles.

The same goes for a lot of SEO gurus and agencies that preach a 100% whitehat approach. It's blatantly obvious that most, if not all of them are using what they would describe as 'blackhat' practices like buying links and PBNs. They just don't say so because it doesn't fit the 'whitehat' marketing narrative.

I hate the whole whitehat v blackhat thing anyway. Some stuff works, some stuff doesn't. Some stuff is riskier than others. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating spammy links etc, I'm just saying that buying good quality links from trustworthy sources (see above) is virtually risk-free if done right.

"Google knows what are paid links!!!!" No they don't! Are they omnipotent? No!

Thanks for your input @admin and @scottmccloud . To my understanding EMD also still works. Cant keep track of Google's many changes anyway. Slightly off-topic, where would I list GameTables on auction if it does not sell on DomainLore? I can only think of Sedo, but the listing auction price puts me off. I mean, it is really high if your only going to get < £50 for the domain in the end anyway.

Thanks @admin, Used to try it with .com domains a while back without much success. I will certainly have to re-investigate this approach.
