I have just been reading the spoonidol thread so thought I would ask for views on the above domain since its a little related.

CBS in the US are starting a new reality series on 31 May called Pirate Master. I figured this one is a bit of a punt on whether the show ever makes it here, all the other major domains are already taken.

What do peope think, was it worth the reg fee?

A view from the US: Summer TV series usually don't make it very far. Summer reality series almost never do.

That said, probably worth reg because I didn't say never!

(btw: of course any exts. popular in the US would have it regged - any show on major network TV here is worth reg. +++ on a US ext.)

If the show takes off and comes over here and ( and this is the big AND) they decide to call it the same you could be in for a good few type-ins, but if it comes over here and the powers that be decide to call it something else, i'm afraid it's :rf

The King Is Back

Been wanting to post on this for a week now

I saw a trailer for the show and looks pretty good from what I have seen and probaly going to be a Worldwide smash IMHO I can see the show be taken around the World and loads of countries doing there own versions of it.

I dont think this will be just a American one off series, I think it will be something like castaway and love island etc.

Value of the domain is debatable really depends on what you can do with it and how you can make money from it.

I honestly dont think that there is too much potential for earnings apart from google click thrus and maybe future sales if they release the series on DVDs.

Ah you could in theroy though have betting adverts as it will be under speciality better about who win etc so you may earn some money from that.

Doing a fan based website is a lot harder than doing another kind of website as you really need to be a fan too make it work and keep updating it.

Value £5 - £200 for a fan but the £200 is very top whack, £50 - £100 would reasonably be the main asking points.

Still the same £5 - £200 to a fan.

You might get more if someone really wanted it but that would probaly be show producers but thats probaly unlikely.

If you really wanted to be very optimistic £1,000 at the highest extreme but I dont think you would find people in here paying that much.

So if you get offered more than £200 then it would probaly be worth taking rather than sitting on it waiting for a better offer.

The main money would be if the show does become a success, that might take a few series and probaly a UK version of it.
