Hey thanks for all the fabulous feedback - it is nice to get this after spending the last year working in my spare time to design and develop this site.
Yes I am still considering the monthly charge. I would charge less but there are complications with the payment provider and not being able to charge an annual fee due to the risk to them from charge backs or something like that. I would prefer to just charge a single annual fee and it may be worth reverting to paypal for this. Actually I would prefer to offer the listings free and get as many businesses on the site as possible but as this is taking up more and more of my time, I need to bring in some money for all my time spent on it. Any ideas greatly appreciated!!
I am however offering a launch promotion at the moment offering a 12 month premium listing for free (promotion code LAUNCH2010) and I also have a free basic listing that will always be available. The free listing only includes some basic details though.
Yes Rob, I spent a lot of time deliberating over the domain name and as a result accumulated quite a few domain names.
With regards promotion, yes I have the wheels in motion, the first press release going out today. So fingers crossed it brings in some new advertisers.
There does seem to be a lot of competition - I seem to find a new site every day but I am determined to make mine the best. I have spent a lot of time on the search facility and have yet more to do on this still.
