Had this caught on the drop for me, with the intention of developing a quirky based site, which doesn't take itself seriously.

Now, not that I have any personal experience with a penitentiary, lol, I wondered if you chaps have any quirky based suggestions for development?

Maybe I should put up infamous penitentiary inmates over the years?! :grin:

Well I like the possibilities for fun!

I'd turn your website into a sort of Devil's Island prison, with the mneanest looking guards etc...

Then whenever someone in the public eye does something obnoxious or irrevocably stupid, your website throws them in The Penitentiary... bit of photoshop and there you have Tony Blair or whoever, in an orange jumpsuit.

You could build up a colony of inmates, and occasionally let them out for good behaviour.

Visitors to the website ... "prison visitors" ... could come and "talk" through the grill to the prisoners (you create the reply comments)... or appeal to the Governor/Warden (you) for their release.

Yeah I can see that being a fun and quirky website. Might not generate much value, but it would still be a laugh.

I have a sort of vested interest in the idea because I used to be a prison governor. I did explore this concept, and wondered about trying to acquire Rockall.com (that tiny island/lump of rock about 200 miles off the coast of Britain) with a view to a prison colony like this for celebrity reprobates.
