It's a UK domain and the UK spelling would be Harbour.

I personally don't see much value in it.

Surely that doesnt come in to play if the site is about the actual place which is still spelt the same regardless of location. ( assuming of course the domain would be used about the place )

I too personally wouldnt see any value in it but thats because i cant imagine how it would be used other than a information site or if there was restaurant or something with the same name in the UK.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I was thinking what else it could be used for apart from an informational site, which is why I was thinking that.

It is becoming an info site, when I get a chance to get some more content on there.

Only has 3 pages so far. It is about the actually Pearl harbor place that is why it is with that spelling

Good luck with it.

Cheers. I hoping to create a good info site on there and when its big enough I will put a few adsense ads on there to try and make some money from it

If the aim is to make money why wouldn't you choose something more commercial?

This is only one site I am working on, its something different that instead of just trying to make money will hopefully be a nice resource on the web as well.

This has some nice search volumes so who knows it maybe something that could make a nice buck.

Of course the main aim so to make money but the reason it not something more commercial is because I have other sites that are that.

That's that cleared up then.

Well basically I asked for a value of the domain.

Then it went onto the spelling etc and what it was going to be used for.

Then its gone about doing something more commercial.

I have explained what im doing with the site but never really go any answer so there we go.

I don't see any value in the name itself

& I don't see why you would want to make a site about it unless you're passionate about the subject

If you're going to waste your time at least waste your time on something you enjoy.

Why bold those points and not the other bits like me saying who knows it could make money and hoping it will be a nice resource on the net.

Pretty clear to me that I want to make it a nice info site that may or may not make money but thats not the point of the site.

In 3 sentences you said it wasn't about making money, it could make money, to money being the main reason, that's why I put those points in bold. Putting all 3 sentences in bold wouldn't have highlighted it as well.

For valuation (the main point of the thread) I would say £0 because there is no use for it apart from an MFA site and it's a poor subject for that.

If you're just doing it to make a good resource on the net then what the domain is worth won't be bothering you anyway.

Not sure of the point of an appraisal then if you already have plans for it and making money isn't a priority? Are we likely to see this appearing on Domainlore some time soon ;)

The name is ok, but really needs to be the .com to have any value imo.

Should have been more clear I meant yes the main reasons to make websites is to make money and yes I have sites doing that. That is why this isn't a commercial one.

I just thought I would see if the domain had any value on its own.

Won't be on domain lore any time soon as this one is in the process of being Devd.

Just need to get more content for it.
