Fair comment Edwin. Just idealism - not commercialism - on my part.
Then it's fair enough, as long as it wasn't meant to be realistic.

Deploring their commercial expansion away from domains is entirely justified. Complaining because the huge players have somewhat more say is not.
I voted solely for Phil Buckingham. Proposed by Angie Barrow and seconded by Reza Sobati - two people I have known in the business for a long time and respect. If you are a member, I suggest you vote however you see fit, and however small your holdings.[/QUOTE
RobM it isn't a pointless position.I won't be voting. Pointless position that is unable to stop any changes nominet make to benefit themselves and top registrars (with which they may have ties) at the expense of the consumer and smaller registrars.
Philthe one female candidate , with huge conflicts of interest , with already 300000 votes from her OWN REGISTRAR. How is this fair and equitable ? Then email me [email protected] and arrange a call on anything you want to discuss and what you'd like me to do for you - before voting . Please then register and join all the candidates on the webinar this Friday 7th @ 11.00 and ask a question. Good luck with your voting. Thanks Phil .
Sorry, but there's a massive difference between getting backing of several companies you have links with and Phil's comments about Kelly. Go back and read what he wrote. It's not really a wild aspersion. Kelly is an employee of Namesco and the Dada group - and is therefore almost certain to get the backing of that vote and possibly other large registrars as a result.

TOTALLY LEAVE BLANK ( so cant / wont transfer ) the one female candidate , with huge conflicts of interest , with already 300000 votes from her OWN REGISTRAR. How is this fair and equitable
No you've got most of it.What have I missed?
- Being part of a large registrar does bring conflicts of interest, of course. Kelly will have to declare these and avoid votes as a result. Likewise it can bring a better understanding of the domain name industry, but then Phil isn't exactly short of that himself.
- Using the wording "only female candidate" wasn't very sensitive. And targeting her so deliberately vs the other three likewise. It would have been enough to say "Kelly Salter works at Namesco and, as a big registrar candidate, is the one to beat"
- Already 300,000 votes for Kelly? Not much argument there is there.
Only for them to disappear immediately after the voting closes? Probably! Nice little earner for the successful candidate! It's indicative of how close the election may be that we have multiple candidates participating on this thread - all the more reason for those with the right to vote to do so.
