I have sent this thread link to the feedback email address but if people would like to write helpful points on what they would like to change and what they would recommend/solutions to problems they have come across then the feedback email is there which goes directly to product management/marketing.

Kind regards

Joanna

You can make the following page your Sedo homepage which shows market activity.

Market Activity-Sedo.co.uk.

To view offers received please log in and go to
My Sedo/My domains/offers received

I have tried this, and it doesn't work. When I visit that page the link you use to set it as the home page correctly reads "Remove this as my home page", but when I visit sedo.com, logged in or not, or when I log in, the page I land on is never that.

Please could you send me exactly what links you are going to and the exact steps you are taking. Also your browser/operating systems so I can try and recreate the error and our technical separtment can look into this for you.

Please also send me your log in name.

My direct email is [email protected]

Why would sedo even think of going live with a new design/structure during a premium auction? Sounds like they haven't even tested it for bugs before going live either...

I have worked as a front end developer for a couple of huge media companies and I am telling that it is sickening how much money is wasted on crap redesigns, generally the people that make these decisions know nothing about functional design or how people use a website, I wouldn't mind betting this also the case with sedo.

Exactly what I'm thinking!!

Try:
Web 2.0-Sedo.co.uk

Click on the "UK" RSS feed, all the descriptions are in German (even though the language is set to English (in the link).

Sedo - Auktionen int. Markt

Please explain to me the logic behind the domains listed being relevant to the "UK", such as fuckingvideos.tv tacofish.com etc. I have been asking this since 2008 and it gets worse not better.

you have to bloody go down a long list of extensions to find .co.uk which is annoying.

put it up there with .com

It used to be at the top of the list when you were on sedo.co.uk god knows why they changed it.

Also, just spotted, when you offer on a domain through sedo and you are not logged in it redirects you to login page with this at the top:

http://www.sedo.com/member/createbidthread.php4 said:
Purchase of the domain ___.co.uk | ____ GBP
Surely they should make it less like an ecommerce checkout page and much clearer that you are not buying the domain for that amount it is just an offer...

Please could you explain to me which page you are referring to and where you are scrolling to select .co.uk. We have not changed anything regarding search which we will be revamping next year.

Just this morning we made a small tweak to the page you see when you need to login to complete your offer. The “Price” column was changed to the “Your Offer” column

I'm not disputing that, it is the phrase that is used: "Purchase of the domain ___.co.uk"
They are not purcasing the domain for their desired price, they are making an offer.

Sedo.co.uk
Domain Search
Click "Keyword Extension"
And I was about to say scroll down to find .co.uk but you must have just done it.

If you search for a keyword(s) on sedo.co.uk ".co.uk" isn't listed in the common extenstions

Hi Joanna,

Thanks for the update, the language issue is fixed. My original issue I raised 18 months ago is what constitutes a "UK" domain in this feed?

Current examples include: 6171.com, soufu.com, copasdomundo.com

These have no relevance at all to the UK market in my opinion.

Can you advise the criteria please?

Many thanks

The tech team have changed something and now the names look relevant.

Please could you let me know if you find otherwise.

Kind regards

Joanna

......no doubt somewhere on the site there is a picture of a bunch of smiling office workers all looking at one pc monitor, what are they all looking at, why haven't they got there own monitors.

For Den Chomsky,

https://sedo.com/uk/sell-domains/overview/

Bullseye! Scroll down to the "Promote Domains" paragraph and they do indeed have the predicted laptop huddle.
