Hi Chaps,

Thanks for all the info and advice. Went for a car that wasn't on the list. Got a Range Rover Sport 4.2 V8 Supercharged Auto, wanted something fast and auto as i do a lot of driving (plus i am lazy :)). Dreading the fuel bill, but money is there to be spent:rolleyes:!

gorgeous motor, but like you say fuel would destroy me

had a frontera and jag in past . great fun to drive but fuel hideous

no more bigguns for me

goodbye fuel economy... hello overdraft!

hey leeroy bit of difference between your wish list and what you have bought!!! :-D

they are seriously bad news, not as bad as a gt40 but nearly! its not how many miles the RR can do to the gallon it is how many petrol stations can you go past without stopping per gallon!

we got a guzzling RR sport and a 4.6 and they both return less than 15 mpg city and about 19mpg on run and thats with some gadgets fitted to help!

keep the fluids topped up leeroy as they are a pig of a car when they get low...:???:

at least you got the balls to loose 14k as soon as you drive it outa the dealers!

I have a Frontera now. 2.2 Petrol and I get about 400 miles per £60 - I dont have a clue what that is MPG wise and to be honest I dont care as long as the missus and the little un are safe whilst they buzz around from Playgroup to the shops.

I'm carless at the moment but if I win Megamillions (New York Lottery - Now $325,000,000 jackpot) then I already have my shopping list:

Audi A3 (Check out this promo trailer on YouTube)
Range Rover Sport
... very nice cars

Plus probably a lambo and a couple of classics.

I friend of mine has the RR Sport and the fuel is killing him. In US it's great for fuel - the locals complained when the price went over $3/gallon (<40p/ltr - I think)

Now the price is about 32p/ltr if I'm converting it properly. Crazy eh?

Nice sji2671!!

Will have to get something like this when im older and a family man for the school run ;)

Heres my latest...
