Need a little help deciding

Thank you to everyone who voted.

I've yet to purchase a number however I'll probably be going for the one ending 1234 and here's why...

1. I don't want people forgetting the number of digits to enter, i.e. if they are drunk and enter five 6's (610 66666 instead of 610 6666). With 1234 at the end, they know where to stop.

2. The number provides an easy to remember line "it's as simple as 1,2,3,4!"

3. The cost of the 6666 number is almost double, and once the number is in someone's phone it generally won't change so I can use the money saved into promoting the number.

As far as point 1 is concerned, I don't think (willing to stand corrected) that entering tooo many 6's is a problem as it will connect after the 4th 6 which makes it ideal for drunks

If you are talking about a "stored" address book number then I agree. In which case having a memorable number is irrelevant. I thought we were talking about those that suddenly decide they need a taxi and are relying on remembering a number they have seen somewhere previoulsy. I just dialed my own number from my mobile and added an EXTRA 4 "4's" on the end and my landline rang OK.

Personally, I'd find remembering and dialling at least 4 of the same number easier when drunk. If i couldn't then I think three 9's might be more appropriate....

I suggest do some actual product testing, go out get drunk (bill to client) then try and remember and dial each of the numbers in your poll. Discount permanently any you can't remember and if more than one remain get drunker and repeat until just one left.

There's your answer simples.

For thorough testing, members who have contributed to the thread should also assist (again billed to client). A friday or saturday would suit me.
