I dont think the word Mum is used anywhere really except from in the UK. If it was a US generic word, im sure it would have been worth a lot more.

Mum is also used in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Canada.
Mom.com would have been worth a huge sum but mum.com, for me, is equally as good.
