I'm struggling to do so because I don't wish to give too much away about the project, but as an example (and hope Grant doesn't mind), pop corn would have been perfect, but was too costly for this start up, but has an immediate link to the industry and very brandable.

Agreed, for dictionary words it is hard, but will consider quirky single word type names too. I've received literally 50+ private messages, some great domains but only a couple of which are really well suited, but there may be copyright/trademark issues so having to research them further.

Thanks for all the PM's and messages here. I'm going to have to re-think my plans somewhat and see what suits. Received quite a lot of random brandables and two/three word domains but those don't fit the criteria. I have the perfect domain in mind, but unfortunately at the moment the owner (who is in the domain world) won't come down to my price.

No more PM's for now unless you have something really special, single word or 'easy to understand the connection' brandable. Think along the lines of a movie database, no specific genre, but definitely not going down the IMDB route.
