As soon as I park them.

For example...

Aeromotive (add the .uk bit) has "dogging" and "beautiful older women" as related links. This isn't a one off – most of my newly parked domains have similar related links.

I appreciate that related links optimise around what people search for, but that's not the case in this instance because these are newly parked domains. I'm opted-out of adult ads and the above example is in the "Recre./Aviat./Other" category.

Anyone else experiencing this? Please check your newly parked domains and let me know.

A response from Sedo also welcome.

Thanks,
Rob

Dear Rob

I have flagged those adult terms in the related links to our tech team who will block these terms for you for this domain.

Kind regards

Joanna

Why aren't adult terms block on every non adult domain?

Yes. And...

1. This isn't a one domain issue, I'm getting similar related links for over 50% of my newly parked domains. Can you block these keyword strings across my entire account? I'll send you a list of the terms I'd liked blocked if needed.

2. Why are these links appearing in the first place? The domains are not in slightest bit adult related,
not in an adult category and I'm opted-out of displaying adult ads. These are newly parked domains and these related links appear as soon as I park a new domain.

P.S. Thanks for your prompt reply.

The adult related strings I blocked for you will now be blocked for every non-adult domain parked on Sedo.

We apply the best-performing related links for similar domains (based on category and keyword) as they have been proven to generate better revenue than standard related links. Many of those best performing most popular related links are adult terms and we do have a system to recognize and block adult them, but the system can't recognize all of them. We can correct it when adult related links sneak in by reporting it to tech who will block the term as per my previous comment. Anyone on the forum is welcome to report us the adult related links if they come accross them on their non-adult domains.

Alternatively:

You can turn off related links and just have a search box with a list of advertisements. This can be applied to portfolios or the whole account.

You could choose a set of standard related links of your choice e.g. Jobs, TV, Shopping, News, Sport, etc and apply them to portfolios or your whole account.

You can also manually type in your related links per domain which is time consuming but very effective. I would advise doing this on your domains with the highest traffic.

Kind regards

Joanna

Our company has had the related links removed across our entire account for many years due to the inappropriate ads that used to appear. You can't spend your entire time monitoring links to see what is appearing. We don't believe that it has resulted in reduced click thro' rate and has probably improved it somewhat as unrelated (and/or offensive) search terms must cause a lot of visitors to exit the page immediately.
