Wanted: Website Review Mobile Phone Site

Hi All,

Started developing this Mobile Phone Shop, Using Wordpress (as always), along with this white label Mobile Deals Comparison. on a sub domain.

Enjoying working in a new sector so far but not very knowledgeable of phones in general. What do you look for in a mobile phone site ?

Personally I'd white label the main domain and stick the wordpress stuff on blog.phoneshop.co.uk or whatever. As it is now, unless the wordpress site is jam packed full of genuine user reviews I'd click away in 2 seconds flat.

Just my opinion but I reckon wordpress sites are becoming the new parking page ie. end users are realising what they are, can spot them a mile off and realise that 99% of them are of absolutely no value to them.

Nice domain though, almost bought it a few times when it was on ebay and was gutted when I'd seen it had changed hands!

Wasn't that phoneshop.co.uk?

I thought it was the same at first but sure it was phoneshop.co.uk on sale at 5k.

Yep, I'm talking about phoneshop.co.uk and going by the links so is the OP I think?

Arh right, yep sorry my mistake thought this was modile phone shop from the link.

Yes it was a nice name and a good buy if bought for at or less than 5k, wish I wasn't snowed under or would have gone for that as well.

Only problem is with the mobile affiliate system is nobody trusts the companies running the affiliates systems. There are only 2 major companies from what I seen that run affiliates for average sized sites, so it's take it or leave it usually.

Although with phoneshop.co.uk you might be able to get vodafone or some of the bigger players to deal direct which they will if the site has quality.

Hi guys, thanks for checking the site and leaving your thoughts.

Yes this was the domain on eBay. What I liked was it had a history so has got some aged links.

Have also read about mobile aff schemes failing to pay out but then again I think the merchants do get quite a lot of returns.

Am hoping that the main site content will bring in the SEO traffic then anyone looking to buy can go to the White label / comparison bit. Will also build out the site for Bluetooth headsets e.g Jabra store pays 10%

Hi Grant,

Interesting thought about wordpress. I know what you mean, they are the weapon of choice for many affiliates these days.
Then again if someone clicks in then clicks out to a merchant and buys something then I won't complain!
