I haven't looked at .london domains, so I don't know where exactly this guy is bidding on this name. However, generally speaking domain registries will not necessarily look at the intellectual property issues surrounding a domain before offering it to the public. That does not mean the domain is clear of issues from an intellectual property standpoint.
