Wanted: Domain Appraisal LittleBlackDress

I'm currently getting couple of offers a week for a domain I developed recently - littleblackdress/co.uk currently ranked in the Top 20 but will soon be Top 10. Exactly global searches for little black dress are 90,500

Best offer so far is £1,250. What would be a good selling price?

I think it's a very nice name, contradicting the general rules about 3 words/long domains as it's obviously easily remembered and very brandable, would be great for a womens online magazine style site.

Remember it dropped on or around xmas day.

I'd personally hold out for a little more than that, getting up to mid £xxxx, but I'm not all that experienced with the premium names.

UK Exact search for [little black dress] is a year round average of 18,000, peaking in the party season leading up to Xmas. 90,000 is the global figure, which isn't really relevant to a UK name.

I'd be surprised if you got mid £x,xxx for the name tbh, and I think £1,250 is a pretty decent offer - I buy a lot of generic names and wouldn't pay as much as that for it.

On the plus side / to play devil's advocate to myself, the phrase [little black dress] is a well used one, so if you found yourself the right end user who wanted it as a brand (eg the mag idea that Dave suggested) then you might just hit it lucky.

If you need the money then I'd sell it for the offer or close, if not then keep hold of it and keep the site moving up the rankings.
