I was looking for a domain for a sweets affiliate site and found this one available.

Any valuation? Thanks!

With that word pairing - I hope you don't mind but, I will give you the global view.

Liquorice With the top Gtld .com 'says' supplier/producer/manufacturer. As a .org (global) it says history/fairtrade. As a .co.uk it simply says supplier. I'm not sure how you can ever marry certain words with .org.uk in the commercial sense

Short product name none commercial extension.
According to wiki the liquorice plant is related to peas and beans.
We all know about the sweet extract that's taken from the liquorice plant but it's also used in medicine.
So yes it has a value and it's up to the imagination to find how much and where the value lies.

Thanks for the appraisal, folks. Appreciated.

Just a small note. I don't want to bring the whole .co.uk and .org.uk topic up in here, it was discussed many times on Acorn.

The point is: I asked dozens of my friends (not domainers or eCommerce pros) simple question "If you find a site on G, do you look at the extension?". And you know what, NONE of them said that they do. They look at the description. ;)

And as liquorice with co.uk is a holding page, then putting my domain as No. 1 in SERPS is a matter of days (maybe weeks). With more than 6.5K UK exacts and lots of popular sweets available this type of domain is simply made for affiliate shop regardless of the extension (see my initial post).

I don't disagree with anything you have said, the value is what you can see in it.
The trading value between org.uk and co.uk for name only is up to 80% difference, but based on actual earnings that gap is bound to narrow.

This is why if I can't do a quick flip, I develop a website, rank it, earn few quid and sell the site ;)
