Just wondering what peoples thoughts on the value of this might be? All thoughts are welcome.

Thanks

I would value it based on exact match AdWords spend. Obviously legal advice is a nice domain, but lawyer advice I'm not so sure about.

Thanks for your appraisal accelarator. While lawyer is not as commonly used as in the states i still see some potential in the domain.

Hi Lovekraft,

It also doesn't do it for me, I'm afraid. Primarily because it doesn't do what it says on the tin. If you want a site dealing with advice on matters of law - then legaladvice.co.uk is the domain you need - a majority of people will also type these two keywords in google.

I'd even much prefer lawadvice.co.uk than lawyeradvice.co.uk because I'm assuming you'd want potential visitors searching for advice on law not advice on lawyers! LawAdvice.co.uk does what it says - and it's for this reason that it's been registered since 1999 to a firm of solicitors.

Additionally, if someone wants a site providing advice on the best lawyers for the job in specific areas of law, "lawyer advice" is not the first thing someone will think of typing in Google. The pluralised domain lawyersadvice.co.uk could have worked better - but not a lot. Of course, as you already know, solicitor is more commonly used in the UK.

Was this domain a hand reg or a drop?? If it was a drop, there's always a chance to sell but I'm sorry that I don't see a large number of potential end users eager for this one, even at a low value.

Best wishes, Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for taking the time to appraise my domain so thoroughly, i always appreciate what other peoples opinions might be and i think your points are all valid. I did have my doubts but i still have faith that an end user might still see some value in it if i was to take the time to approach them. Yeah it is not the most commonly used search term in the legal advice area but it "sounds nice" in my opinion so i would hope to try and push for around £200 for it anyway. I will see, it could end up dropping in a couple of years.

It was a drop but there is no history on wayback so i doubt it had content and i am unsure of how long it had been registered for before it dropped.

Thanks again!

Thanks Lovekraft. Pleasure.

If you have such faith in the name, it was definitely worth a reg-fee punt/catch. And you're also being realistic with your end user expectations.

So it's all good!

Best wishes, Richard
