...get a copy of this apparent list of 464, DAC them now and then DAC them at the renewal date in 2 years time. That'll tell you if you were right with your assumption that none would sell. :)

[snip] :)

He got 464, but he's also in the bidding for an addition 50.

i'm guessing most lll.me.uk are sitting there free to reg?
fair to say most people have a middle name ?
no takers in 15 years or so. its a domainers mentality to assume 2 must be worth more than 3 lol

dont get me wrong i have applied for some .org.uk and .co.uk
but i don't agree with there being any demand on the aftermarket or 'endusers' for .me.uk

has anyone ever had an enquiry about a .me.uk from an enduser, let alone sold one? ever in all your years?
add to that there are first names sitting there free to reg in .me.uk and 3 letter inititals in there thousands noone gives a rats arse about

punt away :D it's a nice distraction and waste of money that can only help the others who are not involved
now, leave my 2 letter .co.uk's alone biatches

plus, there's a massive competitor to .me.uk that is 1000 times sexier and loads have dropped and one worders available and 3 letters etc. it's called .me !

People pay £xxxx for their first names, usually in .co.uk I accept, but some may desire something shorter. The two letter .me.uk might be the only one available at any price. It's never been tested because two letter "initials" type domain names have never been available in .uk until now. Therefore, as I stated in a previous post, obtain a copy of the list and DAC them in two years time to see if any have changed hands. :)

Many people also have more than two initials (i.e. officially LLL including a middle name), but you don't see them purchasing them for £xxxx in .co.uk or even .me.uk (which there are still plenty free to register). ;)

It's relevant to the perceived likelyhood of them dropping these particularly registrations in two years time.

Well, a lack of renewals to date does not necessarily equal future profitability or cashflow. I haven't looked into it much, but assuming this individual is the same one linked to the limited company then the accounts would make interesting reading to see further, although unfortunately they're not up to date... :)

Should the company be struck off, I wonder if we'll see a mass transfer of domains from the Limited Company to an individual before Nominet go through the process of suspending/deleting them all... Hmm...

I have seen dozens of companies with the "Proposal to Strike off" alert in the past which has then been removed.

Received an invoice from Nominet Today and it states that payments from outside the UK take 6 days to clear..

In the previous email from Nominet they said that you have to pay within 7 days.. So what if I would be "proper business" and only made my payment on Monday?

I will pay by creditcard anyway but it does seems to be something they could have thought about a bit more and extend the payment window by a couple of days?

Be interesting what Nominet say when people pay late and they point them to their invoice - "Credit Terms: Payment is due within 30 days"

I'd still pay the invoice in 7 days though :)

Whilst you could point Nominet to the terms on the invoice which are clearly incorrect and misleading, Nominet would probably point you to the terms in their e-mail or the auction terms and say "tough"!

I agree. Slightly confusing nevertheless.

With the exception of two domains, all 714 .me.uk's are now showing as registered.

Top 5 Registering Tags:

TAGNAMES - 492 Domains
BURSTFIRE - 29 Domains
AFFILIATE - 22 Domains
AUSTIN - 15 Domains
AAISP - 12 Domains

what was the average selling price of the .me.uk 's?

just wondering how much tagnames wasted :D

No way of telling unless Nominet release that data I'm afraid.

I can tell you that 464/492 were uncontested and therefore 28 went to auction.

Six of the auctions I sat in on cost them £1335, an average of £222.50 :)

The two .me.uk's (cg.me.uk and sg.me.uk) are surprisingly still showing as unregistered given that they were auctioned on the 20th of July. Both have one applicant in common.

Out of the first batch of .org.uk's - A-I (Auctioned on the 28th of July), 21 are still showing as unregistered, all with two registrants in common.

So much for payment within 7 days.
