That's a totally subjective question, Rob.

My opinion is personal and no, I'm not jealous, bitter, etc - I just think it's greedy for one applicant.

they are more than welcome to them and the renewals imho lol

the difference will be when tagnames leave them until 1 day before renewal in 2 years time before renewing, noone will be backordering, as they are unwanted

That's an odd perspective, I'm sure they would have been taken up quite quickly if they'd have been made available after this whole process is finished, and if people didn't have to stump up the extra monies required to have one.

Are you honestly defending one 'individual' having 464 of them? A cap of 2 domains would have been a better option, but of course this would have raised much less money, especially for the .co.uk & .org.uk domains.

One other observation, only 29 people who were given an uncontested .me.uk domain didn't go for either of the other extensions. That's the reality that the message didn't get out to people.

true if you own quality generics and possible in .co.uk and even .org.uk but .me.uk, nah
there's first name .me.uk and one word generic product .me.uk just lying around unregged
maybe the odd person wants to buy their 2 letter initial, fine , for regfee, but i don't ever see any 1 or 2 letter .me.uk selling for more than 100 or 200 MAX, if ever
i honestly wouldnt handreg them in .me.uk
not hating on .me.uk as own some but i see quality ones sitting unregged. i may pop out and reg some later lol

well they leave til the last second and i don't know whether they have a cashflow problem becuase of this as the domains don't resolve for last period and therefore can't earn
they do sometimes drop, strangely quality ones when they do. don't know whether they just screw up due to having so many domains

i was gutted when they dropped 'land.org.uk' and my dropcatchers couldnt catch it!

464 x £6 = £2,784 for two years worth of renewals.

In my opinion it's pretty unlikely that LL.me.uk's are going to sell for that much each. The majority of businesses still don't even spend £xxx on reasonable .co.uk domains, so I think it's going to be even harder to convince individuals to part with that much.

The fact they haven't dropped much is irrelevant.
