I also own Mildenhall and this is the perfect domain to go with it as it is the other american airbase location over here in the UK near Mildenhall.

Systreg put me on to it, so very greatful for his tip.

Have loads in the pipeline so this will be ideal

Thought on this welcome

Regards

Gav

I would only get excited about this if it was a tourist destination.

Rgds

You're only going to earn from this if you develop it mate.

Tip > don't take on to many projects ;)

Do keep hold of it though

Hi Guys

Thanks for your comments, I must be honest I just could not afford not to buy this with the project I currently have with Mildenhall.

After all its only a few quid to buy so nothing lost.

I agree about the amount of projects and this is definatley one that will be put on hold for the forseable future.

Thanks again

Gav

Aren't they quite small places? The "major" towns near there are Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Thetford and so on...

Hi Edwin

You are quite correct and the places you mention are a lot bigger, especially bury st edmunds and newmarket.

Theford has around 20,000 where as mildenhall has around 13,000 and lakenheath just around 8000 ish.

These are both really well known places around we we live do to the fact they are both where the airbases are, also they are both busy little towns.

Mildenhall especially is busy due to the fact it also host speedway, stock car and also greyhound racing which between them attracts thousands and thousands of visitors every year.

Lakenheath will fit in well with my site eventually and as I said before it only cost a couple of quid.

The good thing that is that I have a meeting with quite a large company ( Family is one of the directors ) soon that are interested in my directories and have lots of ideas how to bring the best out of them and earn some nice revenue.

Then I can just start on other towns with something like visit?????.co.uk or ?????online.co.uk, its endless really when it comes to places.

Gav

I think it's quite a nice name for a reg fee drop, goes nicely with your Mildenhall name, and developed the same way it'll entice local businesses to advertise and give you a revenue stream.

Was going to hand reg it myself, but as you're from there, thought I'd let you have it :)

Thanks Systreg for your kind comments.

Arrrrrrrrr Edwin

I had seen your sites as these are all areas that I am looking to develop into directories in the next few years to.

I must be honest I could not believe that someone was lucky enough to own all the .co.uk in these areas.

Im a stones through from most of these places.

Infact the next project is going to be Newmarket as having researched the area we think it will be a great place to do.

I have also been looking into Yarmouth especially along with Bury St Edmunds.

Now I have the designed template to use I should be able to get each directory up and running within about 6 weeks, thats when I get some spare time.

Also have other projects on the go

I take it you are also local to these places to.

Regards

Gav

Not luck, really. They were all bought off their original owners, most for very "real" prices.

I take it you are also local to these places to.

I live in Tokyo, Japan :)

Hi Edwin

Yes I did not mean lucky in that term, I met just lucky enough to own them, I guessed you must have paid lots for them.

What has made you do these paricular areas, was you originally from this area of the UK, or have you got loads of local directories like this in all different areas.

Gav

I have been interested in Cambridge for a long time, so it made a certain sense to focus on places nearby. That said, there are plenty more areas on the "to develop" pile...

Yes I can understand that about Cambridge it's a beautful city with loads of history.

Normally make a visit a couple of times a year, its just about 40 miles from us.

You own some crackers there, I wish you all the best with your sites and its saved me a few minutes hoping to find any of them available, lol

Gav
