I also had a think about the £35k total. In an attempt to spur more bids, big and small... I've dropped the target by 20%, so the new target is £28,000).

All other rules apply and have been updated in the original post, but the new target makes it more likely that all domains with a bid will sell.

Ok so I'm adding an end date/time of Friday 22 Aug at 8pm GMT, with any bids on any domains within 10 mins of the end time, extending the whole auction by 10 mins. Effectively the whole thing ends when there have been no bids for 10 minutes.

This means that there are only a few days left to place a bid after which I'll start to contact a few end users or sell any of the domains that have hit my own reserve (there's one in there that will sell given the bid that's already been placed).

I've heard from some people that they are waiting to bid or not bidding because they didn't see this reaching the 35k, a few things to note:
1. target is now 28k so a little easier
2. There is at least one bid that i have received that I will accept after the auction even if the target isn't reached
3. In cases like #2, if the 28k isn't reached the highest bidder on a name will either receive an email saying I accept the offer or will be given my BIN for the domain along with the first right of refusal

Morecambe couk was offline for a while but is now back. VirtualNorwood, has an active forum behind the wordpress. Take a look through the list, as I said to one person in an email, I am one of the biggest cheapskates when it comes to domains but there are many in there that I'd bid on (that don't have a bid) or bid multiples of the current bid...

Morecambe, londonstudent, virtualnorwood ~2 years ago were consistently making mid xxx per month. Things have now dropped to low xxx/xx per month. Traffic around 1000 uvs/day but now much less.

I know these are general stats but maybe they can help.

Someone reminded me it's the bank holiday weekend and said maybe I should move the end date, but it's so close that I'll keep it.

Just a reminder, anyone who ends up bidding and is the highest bidder when the auction closes will receive my BIN for the name or will be offered the domain for the price they bid, even if the 28k target isn't reached.

So get your bids in!

Remember this is over in ~24 hours and only the highest bidder on a domain will receive the BIN price. So please don't miss a chance to bid before the end.

In at least one case, the BIN on a domain is already met - so the current bidder will be offered the domain for the price they already bid. Or a higher bidder will get the domain if they bid a little more for the same domain.

You must have a be the highest bidder on a domain to receive the domain's BIN price and first chance to accept. The 28k is a long way off but At least one name will definitely be sold at the price bid (do you know which one?)
